The Symbolism and Design of Our Official Flag

Our order's official flag, created by our founder and regarded as being of Divine Design, is rich in symbolism. The flag's black background stands for the universal church, signifying unity and inclusiveness within the faith community. Central to the design is a gold cross, which represents Jesus Christ and also incorporates the latitude and longitude lines of the world, emphasizing the global mission of the order. The flag's overall inspiration comes from the Jerusalem Cross, and the gold and white colors are reminiscent of those found in the Vatican City flag, further connecting the order to the broader traditions of the Christian faith. In addition, four white stars are present on the flag, each bearing a distinct significance related to the following seven...

(1) The Gospels contained within the New Testament: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

(2) The Mysteries of the Rosary: Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious. (Note: Each point on the star signifies a decade of the Rosary.)

(3) The Foundations of Our Lady's message: Prayer, Fasting, Penance, and Peace.

(4) The Pillars of the Catholic Church: One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic.

(5) The Cardinal Virtues: Prudence, Fortitude, Justice, and Temperance.

(6) The Core Values of our order: Faith, Family, Fellowship, and Fidelity.

(7) The Principles guiding our order: Charity, Wisdom, Strength, and Courage.
